This is the home of garchiver, an archiver for Gnome that has two interfaces, and currently supports Zip, tar, tar.gz, tar.bz2, and tar.Z fully. Rar and arj support works, but is not stable yet.

I apologise for the basic look of this site, my time is limited this week.

garchiver has been in development a long time as a class project by 5 students. I finally got around to making it easy to compile and install, so here it is! I added some new features, and fixed some bugs. This should be a very usable version.

garchiver is hosted at sourceforge, simply the best place for opensource development.
